Young Members is a periodic e-newsletter and event programme for the bold and curious under 40.

Each event* offers a perfect wind-down after work, activity for a first date, catch-up with friends or a chance to meet someone totally new. You’ll hear from fresh, contemporary voices, artists and curators and of course, enjoy a complimentary drink, including the best non-alcoholic beverages from our mates at Almighty.

All you have to do to stay in the loop is opt-in to the Young Members newsletter when you sign up to be a Member. If you're already a Member and would like to sign up, let us know at membership@aucklandartgallery.com.

While designed for those under 40, if you're a Member who's young at heart, feel free to join us.

*All Young Members events are R18.

Come on a field trip to Te Tuhi Studios in the heritage Parnell Station building. Visit the studio of Tira Walsh (Ngāti Wairere, Ngāti Hauā, Tainui) to hear more about the making of the work Urbanize III, 2023 commissioned for Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, and her wider painting practice.

Following the studio visit we will meet the Melbourne-based artist Jacqueline Stojanović and see her first exhibition in Aotearoa at Chez Derriere, in the Parnell Project Space. Chez Derriere is the project of Felixe Laing, the current Te Tuhi curatorial intern. There will be drinks and snacks and the opportunity to meet and mingle with other artists from Te Tuhi Studios. Members can purchase more than one ticket.

This event is part of our Young Members event programme, for the bold and curious under 40s (and young at heart). Drinks supplied by our partner, Almighty.

Almighty make drinks that are for the everyday moments as well as the special ones. A drink to have at the office. With your lunch. After a workout. On the dance floor.

Their juices are made with only organic fruit and vege as well as superfoods that contain vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Their sparkling waters contain zero sugar, nothing artificial and just natural flavour derived from real fruit. Their waters also are particularly low in calories. They only use recyclable packaging that is often made from recycled packaging. They also cycle but that is another story.

It all started back in 2015 in Wellington, New Zealand when Ben and some friends decided to try their hand at juicing. They wanted to make healthy alternatives that didn’t trash the environment but did contribute positively to the community, and that’s what they've been working on ever since.
