event Details
As part of Late Night Art, join other Young Members for a talk with artist Jack Hadley, whose work is part of our exhibition Aotearoa Contemporary. Following a show-and-tell format, this conversation will feature the homemade electronic circuits, flat-pack furniture and contemporary jewellery that Hadley creates and uses in his practice.
At Late Night Art, part of Art Week Auckland 2024, the Gallery will be buzzing all evening with artist performances, kai and music. Enjoy free access to all exhibitions, including Aotearoa Contemporary, celebrating a generation of artists who work afresh with ritual and storytelling, mythology, rhythm, Indigenous space and making. Hadley is one of these artists and he will chat about his playful installations and more with Curatorial Assistant Ruth Minh Ha in our Members Lounge. Talk starts at 5.45pm.
This event is part of our Young Members event programme, for the bold and curious under 40 (and young at heart). If you are a Gallery Member, you and a friend can enjoy this talk for free. Please book ahead to secure your spot. Complimentary drinks supplied by our partner, Almighty.
