Auckland Art Gallery's volunteer guides have brought our remarkable collection of artworks to life for over 30 years.
Bringing art and people together in our beautiful exhibition spaces and their surroundings, our volunteer guides lead daily tours for visitors from across New Zealand and around the world. Covering not only displays of artworks from our collection, these tours also highlight the unique elements of our building, its historical and cultural significance, and its environment.

Successful applicants usually have a range of life and employment experiences with a good knowledge of New Zealand history, culture and art. Above all we are looking for excellent communication and interpersonal skills working in the public arena.
