event Details
Celebrate the release of The Architect and the Artists, a beautiful book about the artistic collaboration between modernist architect James Hackshaw, painter Colin McCahon and the then young sculptor Paul Dibble on twelve New Zealand buildings.
Authored by Bridget Hackshaw, daughter of James, this book brings to light the fusion of contemporary religious art and modernist architecture, drawing light on a little-known body of work and one of the great artistic collaborations of twentieth-century Zealand. Join us online for a discussion between author, Bridget Hackshaw and Curator New Zealand Art, Julia Waite.
