Primary learning
Our Foundation programmes provide ākonga with the opportunity to build knowledge and skills across all learning areas through meaningful engagement with, and creative responses to, art.
Creative and critical thinking, interpersonal skill development and wonder are encouraged through lively kōrero, activities and creativity.
Each two and a half-hour programme includes:
- One hour in the Gallery’s exhibition spaces, exploring a range of artworks
- One hour in the Gallery’s Taupuni Mahi Studio, making art in relation to the programme theme
- 30-minute kai break in the middle
