Mō tēnei kohinga ipu e toru, kua peita a Davinia Duke i te tauira puhoro – he hoahoa e tohu ai i te waewae kakama – ki runga i tēnā i tēnā o ngā ipu, me ngā waiuku whai tae, e rua. Ara mai ai te puhoro panuku (he tauira kōwhaiwhai) ki te hora atu, ki te tupu ake i taua ipu.
In this group of three interrelated vessels Davinia Duke paints the puhoro pattern – a design which denotes speed and agility – on each pot’s surface with two coloured slips. The scrolling puhoro (traditional painted rafter pattern) emerge organically to spread and grow around each vessel.
