Nau mai, haere mai hei Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori e tū mai nei kia tawhio ai i te whakaaturanga o Ngā Taonga Tūturu: Treasured Māori Portraits ki roto i te whare whakaatu toi hou o Te Kawau.

Ka arahina te tawhio nei e te kaitiaki whare toi, e Levi Kereama (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Maniapoto). Ka kōrero ia mō tana mātauranga mō ngā taonga me ngā whakaahua moko. Ka whai wāhi mai hoki te ako i te reo ki tēnei kaupapa.

He kaupapa UTU KORE tēnei, engari tēnā koa tāpuia he tūranga ki raro iho nei – 15 tāngata te mōrahi.

Mō Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, ka whakatūria hoki e mātou tētahi kaupapa ‘curators tour’ ā te Taite, te 19 o Hepetema. Whāia tēnei paehono kia kitea ai ngā taipitopito, kia tāpui tūranga hoki.

Join us this Te Wiki o te Reo Māori for a tour of Ngā Taonga Tūturu: Treasured Māori Portraits in the newly opened Te Kawau Gallery.

The tour will be led by Gallery Assistant Levi Kereama (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Maniapoto), who will share his knowledge of the taonga and the moko patterns depicted. The experience includes an element of language learning and an opportunity to practise your reo.

This tour is FREE but please book below – our maximum capacity is 15 people.
