Event Details

From 10 – 14 March, the Gallery hosts this highly skilled weaving group dedicated to recreating the only known woven Māori sail; a taonga currently in the collections of the British Museum. 

‘Our long term vision is to see waka with Māori woven sails at Waitangi for the 200th celebration of the Treaty of Waitangi in February 2040.’
