event Details
Photographs capture the everyday through the phenomenon of light. To celebrate Light from Tate: 1700s to Now, we are offering the exciting opportunity to have your portrait captured by Tintype Central, New Zealand’s only portrait studio specialising in authentic 19th-century wet plate techniques. Learn more about this technique and watch as the alchemic process magically makes images appear on the plate.
One portrait costs $150 and can include up to two people. Following the session, your unique portrait will be varnished before you receive it, together with a complimentary digital file.
Bookings are highly recommended as the sessions per day are limited.
Please note this purchase does not include access to the exhibition. Tickets to Light from Tate: 1700s to Now can be purchased here.
