event Details

Queer Yarns are back for Pride 2024 sharing our biggest space Te Ātea | North Atrium with Whānau Drop-in activities and creating a creative, crafting buzz.

Come and learn how to crochet your own Rainbow flag to take home and wave proudly at the Pride Parade. Pride flags are important symbols for the Queer community. Instructions and all necessary supplies will be provided on how to make a Rainbow flag or one of the many others that represent LGBTQIA+ identities. All abilities welcome.

Time expectation: 30 mins for experienced crocheters or allow up to 3 hrs if you’ve never picked up a hook!

This event is part of the 2024 Auckland Pride Festival. See the full programme at aucklandpride.org.nz
