Pollywood Pasifika Film TWENTY2022

2 – 4pm

event Details

Join us for an afternoon of Pasifka short films and Polynesian screen pride – 20 years in the making!

Curated by founder and director of Pollywood Pasifika Film, Craig Fasi, Pollywood Pasifika Film TWENTY22 has been created to showcase Polynesian people in film and to encourage and motivate Pasifika film creation.

Fasi acknowledges ‘people’ as the motivation behind being able to deliver 20 years of Polynesian screen brilliance. ‘People, will always be a key ingredient to any successful film consumption. The Pollywood audience has made significant contribution to Pollywoods’ impressive 20 years of exhibiting Pasifika Film. Fakaue lahi mahaki (huge thanks) to all that have generously shared their time to acknowledge Pasifika people in film and multi-media.’

Representatives of the films will speak at the end of the screening to offer insight and also participate in a brief Q & A with the audience.

As a token of appreciation and with the kind support of Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Pollywood Pasifika Film TWENTY22 will be offered as a FREE screening event at the Gallery. For more information please click here. See the full programme here
