Pass the Marker: Rob and Sue Gardiner

Join us for a talk by Rob and Sue Gardiner of the Chartwell Trust on Wang Dongling’s Pass the Marker – A Drawing Game.

Last month, we co-hosted two events with Chinese calligraphy artist Wang Dongling. Brought to Auckland by The Creative Thinking Project, at the University of Auckland, Wang Dongling created a new large-scale calligraphic work in front of a live audience before returning a few days later for the Pass the Marker – A Drawing Game developed and hosted by Rob Gardiner. The results of the collaborative game, created by Wang Dongling and invited guests, are on display on our Members Lounge windows until Wednesday 31 August, after which they will be gently wiped off emphasising the fleeting character of the works.
