NZTrio: Uncaged

NZTrio – Justine Cormack (violin), Ashley Brown (cello), and Sarah Watkins (piano) –  is New Zealand’s top professional ensemble in contemporary classical music and have been inspiring audiences around the world for over a decade. Known for their daringly unique concert programmes, NZTrio seek out less mainstream works of old, and pair them with newly commissioned works, offering a taste of musical styles that transcend time and place.

• David Hamilton (New Zealand; b. 1955): The Faraday Cage (3rd mvt) – 4.5'

• John Musto (USA; b. 1954): Piano Trio (2nd mvt) – 8.5’
  nervous urban energy, songful scampering
