Experience the haunting and healing soundscapes of HINA , the creative mantle of Tāmaki Makaurau-based songwriter Amy Boroevich (Te Rarawa, Ngāti Raukawa). Sharing her name with a revered moon goddess of Polynesia, HINA blends folk, rock, soul, te reo Māori, and jazz into a performance that’s both intimate and expansive.
Described by Remix Magazine as ‘genre-fluid’. Classically trained and unbound by convention, HINA’s emotionally resonant music flows through contemporary folk textures with a subtle nod to the origins of country music in Aotearoa and a dusting of pop sensibilities.
Thers is no more perfect act to highlight the last few weeks of Mark Adams: A Survey | He Kohinga Whakaahua, a landmark exhibition exploring cross-cultural exchange, and migration of artistic and cultural practices across the globe.
Don’t miss this unique afternoon of music, art and reflection.
