Members Preview: All That Was Solid Melts

5–9pm

event Details

All That Was Solid Melts travels through time, ruins and fragmentations in which life and humanity are once again reasserted, emerging as resilient, rejuvenated and set free from worry. Curated by Senior Curator Global Contemporary Art, Juliana Engberg, it is a rich trans-historical exhibition that demonstrates the power of art to reflect and absorb the human condition across time.

We welcome Gallery Members to attend the preview of All That Was Solid Melts on Friday 4 June. The exhibition will be open exclusively to Members from 5–9pm. Join the Membership team and Senior Curator Global Contemporary Art, Juliana Engberg in the café, for a glass of wine and a chance to meet other art lovers (nibbles provided).

Juliana will introduce All That Was Solid Melts before sending you off to your exclusive preview. See works by some of the world’s leading international contemporary artists – Pipilotti Rist, Tacita Dean, Pierre Huyghe, Douglas Gordon and more, and joined by works from Auckland Art Gallery’s collection, including the stunning etchings of Giovanni Battista Piranesi.

Please present your membership card at the front desk to receive a wristband for entry.
