A tribute to the late Marti Friedlander – recipient of the 2016 Doc Edge Superhero award.
Marti: The Passionate Eye traces the dramatic personal story of Marti Friedlander (1928–2016), one of New Zealand’s leading photographers, alongside the major social changes she recorded. The film is a very personal account of Marti’s life from early childhood, her introduction to photography and working life in London as a young, free-spirited woman, to the transition to life on the other side of the world.
