Spectral Arrows: Auckland

10am–5pm

event Details

In association with Shout Whisper Wail! The 2017 Chartwell Show, Australian artist Marco Fusinato will perform Spectral Arrows, an improvised long-duration performance of guitar and amplification. Fusinato will play with his back to the audience, in front of his work The Infinitive 4 in the exhibition, filling the gallery with ascending feedback, harsh static and atonal collisions.

Spectral Arrows is described as a monumental aural sculpture and was presented first at the Glasgow International in 2012 and then as part of the 56th Venice Biennale curated by Okwui Enwezor.

This iteration of Spectral Arrows is supported by Auckland Art Gallery and Chartwell Trust.
