Doryun Chong, Deputy Director and Chief Curator at Hong Kong’s new M+ museum, presents the Walters Prize 2016 lecture.
Chong will discuss the role of museums in society and will examine questions such as, how should institutionally-based curators position their subjectivity vis-à-vis the public, the state, the network of supporters and stakeholders, and of course, artists?; and, what standpoint might artists take towards the institution?
Chong will announce the winner of this year's Walters Prize at a gala dinner on Friday 30 September 2016.
