Island Life - Robin White in New Zealand and Kiribati

Event Details

In 1999 New Zealand artist Robin White returned to her home country after seventeen years living on Kiribati, the former Gilbert Islands. Comprising approximately 75 works, this large scale exhibition brings together the full range from both periods in the artist's working life and includes screenprints, woodcuts, paintings and drawings as well as the exciting composite pandanus mats and tapa which she has begun to experiment with very recently.

The exhibition is toured by the Hocken Library, University of Otago, Dunedin. The exhibition is curated by Linda Tyler, Curator of Pictorial Collections, Hocken library, University of Otago.
