Step into the ancient world of Chinese incense making with Yao, founder of Hillside Incense, and explore the alchemy of scent.This workshop takes participants on a journey through a thousand years of Chinese incense culture. You will learn about ancient Chinese etymology and the revival of traditional practices today. Make an incense token with scent that lasts up to a year!

Workshop includes:

• Incense materials and tools
• Easy-to-follow aftercare instructions with carry bag

*Please note that incense tokens need to dry for a week before decorations can be added. Choose to let Yao decorate your token and pick it up from the Gallery when ready, or dry your token at home and decorate it yourself.

This Members-only workshop is in conjunction with the exhibition Forever Tomorrow: Chinese Art Now.
