Make your own jewellery inspired by Frida Kahlo and the vibrant artworks in Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera: Art and Life in Modern Mexico. In this workshop you will learn techniques for modelling ceramic, pigmented porcelain and stoneware to create earrings, necklaces, brooches, pendants and rings. Ceramic elements will be fired and available for collection one week after the workshop.

Bio
Iza Lozano is a ceramic artist and educator currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Lozano studied ceramics at Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura in Mexico City, where she lived and developed her practice until she moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2020. She has since completed artist-in-residence programmes at Auckland Studio Potters and Driving Creek Pottery. Lozano works are inspired by archaeological objects from various cultural origins. She has exhibited in Mexico, Spain and Aotearoa.
