Join us for an Audio Described Tour for Blind and Low Vision visitors through a Century of Modern Art.
Led by Senior Curator International Art Sophie Matthiesson and audio described by Nicola Owen of Audio Described Aotearoa, this tour will last 90 minutes and is limited to 13 people. We will have two sighted companions available, courtesy of Blind Low Vision NZ.
On loan from the Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio, A Century of Modern Art offers a sweeping survey of the visionary painters who transformed modern art. The exhibition comprises 57 iconic works by 53 artists, including Claude Monet, Edgar Degas and Vincent van Gogh, and premier examples by pioneering artists of the American and European avant-garde.
This exhibition showcases the diversity and innovation that defined modern art movements. From the emotive brushstrokes of Van Gogh to the evocative landscapes of Monet and Rauschenberg’s bold abstractions, these works not only revolutionised Western art history but continue to inspire new generations.
Bookings for the Audio Described Tour are essential and are limited to 13 places. Please book your place/s via the link below. If attending with a sighted companion, book tickets for them also. Please note there is capacity for only one sighted companion per purchase. If you hold a Gallery membership, have your membership number ready when you book your tickets.
