Please note the March event has been postponed to 30 October. Please see the note at the bottom of the article for more info.
Join the Gallery whanau for an unforgettable day at Gibbs Farm sculpture park. Your visit will help us to raise funds for our collection and our programmes.
The celebrated Gibbs Farm rests on 400 hectares of re-formed farmland on the Kaipara Harbour. The privately owned park is home to an internationally renowned collection of large-scale sculptures by some of the world’s leading artists, commissioned and curated by Alan Gibbs over the past 25 years.
On your visit you will be free to roam the hillsides, to take in the views of the harbour and gain perspective on the sculptures from a distance and right up close. You can self-guide with the map provided and enjoy an introduction to some of the key works by our friendly art experts stationed throughout the park. Your visit may also include an encounter with an exotic animal or two!
Thank you. It is a privilege to have access to this special site and we are very grateful to The Gibbs Farm trustees for their hospitality.
Pack your own picnic lunch or order an Eat My Lunch pack with us (please use code: AAGMARCH2022) – to be collected on the day. Every lunch ordered provides a free lunch to a Kiwi kid in need. Please note that when you purchase your lunch, you must tick the ‘Pick up’ option and input a postal code of 1010. A team at the Auckland Art Gallery will pick up the lunches on your behalf and you will be able to collect them at Gibbs Farm. For any queries, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
