Tickets to the acclaimed international exhibition go on sale at 10am today, Thursday 11 September.

Following its sell-out season at the Hayward Gallery, London, the immersive exhibition, opening Saturday 11 October, is the first major presentation of international light-based art to be seen in New Zealand. Lighting up two floors of the Gallery will be a wonderland of artworks by leading international artists, including luminaries Olafur Eliasson, Dan Flavin, Jenny Holzer and Ann Veronica Janssens.

From today, limited Earlybird tickets will be available at $12.50 via Eventfinda.

Standard single admission to Light Show is $15 (ages 14 and above), entry for children is $10 (ages 5 - 13) and admission for younger children is FREE (ages 0 - 4).

Once Light Show opens on 11 October, tickets can also be purchased at the Gallery's front desk.

An unforgettable multi-sensory experience, Light Show plays with perception and explores light using everyday innovations to the latest cutting-edge technologies. The must-see exhibition, alongside the Diwali festival and Art in the Dark, sets the stage for a season of celebrations of light in Auckland.

Tickets also go on sale today to five Light Show Open Lates on Tuesday 14 October, Tuesday 11 November, Tuesday 9 December, Tuesday 20 January 2015 and Tuesday 3 February 2015. These special ticketed events offer a captivating evening with live music, George FM DJs and after-hours access to the dazzling magic of Light Show. Food and drink are also available. The Auckland exhibition will mark the first time Light Show has travelled outside the United Kingdom, making New Zealand the first leg of its world tour.

Light Show will run from 11 October 2014 until 8 February 2015.
