Gretchen Albrecht
Artwork Detail
Between 1971 and 1973, Gretchen Albrecht created a sequence of Garden paintings. Following this, she made many watercolour studies on the west coast of Auckland looking at the confluence between sky, sea and coastline. Her subjects moved from an intimate urban garden to a much larger terrestrial subject matter that addressed front and back lit clouds recorded from dawn to dusk.
