Michael Lett is a contemporary art gallery in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Representing international and Aotearoa based artists at the forefront of contemporary practice, the gallery presents an exhibition programme that highlights innovative work from the present and recent decades. In addition, it regularly produces art publications, ranging from artist books to collected writings.

Founded in 2003 by Michael Lett, the gallery opened in a ground floor shop front space on Karangahape Road. Over the past decades, it has expanded its roster of represented artists and relocated twice to accommodate new possibilities for presenting contemporary art. Since 2010, the Gallery has been co-owned and co-directed by Andrew Thomas and Michael Lett.

This archive documents an aspect of the Michael Lett Gallery’s activities, focusing on its collaborations with contemporary artists through Michael Lett Gallery produced in collaboration with artists annual limited-edition Christmas cards and merchandise, correspondence, and artist-related material.
