Jenny Gibbs Collection Archive

Dame Jenny Gibbs has been a supporter of the arts in Aotearoa New Zealand for over three decades. As well as her public philanthropy and direct engagement with this country’s art and artists, Jenny Gibbs has developed a significant private art collection.

The archive consists of the records pertaining to this collection, both textual and visual. Individual artist files contain correspondence, loan and purchase documents, exhibition catalogues, photographs, and ephemera. Organised at the collection level, there are also transparencies and prints, as well as catalogue records.
