Endlessly happy invisible endings continues Eliasson’s ongoing exploration of optical devices that encourage viewers’ embodied experience of perception. Two concentric rings of coloured glass spheres present a rainbow of visible light when viewed from the front. When we move across the room, the rainbow disappears; we see only clear or black glass spheres, depending on the angle. Since the spheres seem to be constantly changing, we are encouraged to move around in space to further examine and interact with the artwork. – Olafur Eliasson: Your curious journey, 2024
