The Guerrilla Portfolio Compleat 1985-2012 + Upgrade 2012-2016

Artwork Information
The Guerrilla Girls are feminist activist artists. This portfolio of their work from their inception in 1985 until 2016 includes posters and videos and is a reflection of the more than one hundred projects they have been involved in. Over 55 women have been members over the years, some for weeks, some for decades. They remain anonymous to keep the issues that they are addressing at the forefront such as the influence of ‘big money’ and art auctions on art shown and collected. They state, ‘We wear gorilla masks in public and use facts, humor and outrageous visuals to expose gender and ethnic bias as well as corruption in politics, art, film, and pop culture’ (www.Guerrillagirls.com).
