Mrs Haromi by Gottfried Lindauer

Artwork Detail Request a print

Lindauer kept this portrait of Mrs Haromi in his collection. He painted Mrs Haromi on more than four occasions. This particular likeness is the first version of Haromi, portrayed as a woman of mana (prestige, influence), as suggested by her Ngāti Kahungunu countenance which is also found in early photographs of her.
