About the film
DOKU The Creator is the third chapter in Lu Yang’s DOKU series which follows the solitary adventures of a multifaceted avatar named DOKU, based on the digitalisation of the artist’s own face. With this alter ego, Lu Yang transcends the limits of the physical body and explores new forms of freedom through digital reincarnation. Merging Buddhist philosophies, digital consciousness, gaming aesthetics and AI-generated worlds, he depicts a complex and exciting digital identity.
Please note the film is in Mandarin Chinese with English subtitles. The question and answer session with H E Wilco and Lu Yang will be in English.
