Auckland Zinefest | Relaxed hour

Event detail
Love Zinefest but prefer it without the crowds? Visit during relaxed hour from 10am to 11am for a quieter, lower-stimulation experience.
Relaxed hour takes place before the advertised market hours, when fewer visitors are expected. Stallholders will be setting up for the day and are encouraged to keep noise low and avoid actively approaching visitors.
Please help us maintain a calm, low-stimulation environment by keeping noise to a minimum and avoid rushed movement.
Spaces to take a break
If you are visiting outside relaxed hour and need time away from the crowds, there are several spaces where you can pause.
Head to the East Terrace on Level 2, which is wheelchair accessible, to rest, enjoy views of Rangipuke Albert Park and take part in creative activities, including making a badge.
You can also access the outdoor amphitheatre through the café, near the steps leading to Rangipuke Albert Park. Please note that this space is not wheelchair accessible.
Both areas connect with the outdoors and offer partial or full shelter. Other visitors may also be using these spaces, but they are generally less crowded than the market areas.
Plan your visit
For help finding a particular stallholder, refer to the printed programme or visit the Auckland Zinefest information table, where the team can assist you. Stallholder details will also be available on the Auckland Zinefest website closer to the event.
Proudly presented in collaboration with Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki and suported by the Creative Communities Scheme and Auckland Council.
