Kate Newby (b 1979) is an Auckland-based installation artist. When the developed Auckland Art Gallery reopened in September 2011, Newby's work I'm just like a pile of leaves was one of the commissioned installations.

This box consists of residue material from 'I'm just like a pile of leaves'. Material includes:

1 x large 'square' of rock and coin embedded concrete floor (as exhibited)

1 x small piece of concrete wall (as exhibited)
