Artwork Information
Many of John Pule’s paintings are concerned with journeying from one part of the Pacific to another. Frequently, he is concerned with the meanings that accumulate from an emigrant’s travel. Many times, he reconsiders the effects of leaving Niue to come to New Zealand, and the effect of a spiritual journey where the Christian faith actually moves from one ‘island’ to another.
