Built between 1659 and 1660 by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb

(1618- 1707) for his second wife Nawab Bai, the Moti Masjid (Pearl

Mosque) is located inside the Red Fort complex in Delhi, India.

Completely covered in white marble and surmounted by three

domes covered in gilded copper, the mosque shone like a pearl

in daylight, conveying both the divine spirit and Aurangzeb’s

magnificence.
