Ema Tavola’s BLOOD + BONE series is a reinterpretation into how significant portraits can be in the affirmation of artistic and familial relationships. Produced at a time of change in the artist’s life, they reveal how significant her Pacific art practice has been for the female artists and curators at Auckland.
