Artwork Information
Anli could really be described as a post-Cubist. He was part of the Turkish selection for the Venice Biennale in 1956, and had a one-man show in Paris in 1958. His work was influenced by the Cubist-expressionist writings of Picasso, and his painting style has a Cubist structure. His use of pattern also suggests Picasso's focus on the harlequin during his Rose period.
