Artwork Information
Published around 1670 as part of 'Notomia de Titiano' (Titian's Anatomy), this print by Domenico Maria Bonavera reproduces woodcut images to designs by Andreas Vesalius (1514-64) which were first published by Vesalius in his 'De humani corporis fabrica libri septem' in 1543. The traditional attribution of the designs to Titian now appears to be incorrect.
