Opononi holidaymakers, with snorkels and glistening white bathing caps, stand in the shallows transfixed as the young dolphin balances a ball on the tip of her nose. Eric Lee-Johnson stood in the water for hours to capture the perfect close-up shot. The result was his important photo-essay about a magical
phenomenon.
