Judy Darragh
Laser Bloom

Artwork Detail
Judy Darragh’s glowing mutant blossoms seem to disperse like toxic mould or deep-water algae, colonising gallery spaces. They are alluring but also suggest a potentially sinister biohazard as they trap light and concentrate it in their undulating fluorescent edges. (Recent Contemporary Acquisitions, 2002)
