IN NEW ZEALAND. /situated near the Town of petre, At Wanganui, one of The New Zealand Company's settlements in Cook's Straits, Northern Island. /THE FIGURES IN THE FOREGROUND ARE ALL PORTRAITS, AND THE ORIGINAL PICTURE (NOW IN LONDON) WAS PAINTED ON THE SPOT. /This Picture is descriptive of a portion of the beautiful scenery of that young and interesting colony, and of the native habits and customs. In its grouping and general delineation it is perfect, and was formerly an every day scene at a Native Village.
