exhibition Details

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is to present Degas to Dalí – an outstanding exhibition of international modern artists whose work spans 100 years. Travelling to New Zealand are 79 works of art by 62 influential and celebrated artists, such as Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Ernst, Magritte and Warhol.

Opening 3 March 2012, the exhibition from the National Galleries of Scotland represents the major art movements of the mid-19th to mid-20th centuries.

Degas to Dalí will be the first major international exhibition since the Gallery re-opened its newly developed building in September. It offers New Zealanders the opportunity to come face to face with works from a remarkable range of artists who have shaped the world of modern art.
