John Reynolds: Epistomadologies

The essential markers of artist John Reynolds' Epistomadologies series is almost 100 street names from around New Zealand which have been collected, alphabetised and then visually stacked up by the artist. The resulting lists produce the effect of a real-world rap made on a fast-speed drive through the country's suburbs and lonely trails. These hand-drawn signs are interspersed with notes on subjects from history, philosophy, art, word games and moments of visual interlude – dots, dashes, and grids.
