KIT

Artwork Detail

Artist book from 'KIT', containing images 3001 - 3100. 'Kit" is a series of forty-nine artist books by Fiona Connor with Luís Manuel Araújo & Oliver Evans. Design Ben Greehy, published Io, London, 2023.

Over the forty-nine artist books, 'KIT' catalogues over five thousand photographs Fiona Connor has taken as tools for making sculptures, while also considering how she prints and uses these images in her studio.

Each publication of 'KIT' comprises a different group of one hundred photographs collated into stapled book blocks arranged chronologically. The images are laser-printed single-sided in black and white on sheets of recycled paper, bound by five heavy-duty staples.

The book blocks are housed in custom-made manilla folders, with graphic design by Ben Greehy and screen printed by Fiona Connor. An insert card accompanies this project, providing an index of the different cover pages.
