Each year Fiona Connor invites members of the Varese Group collective to meet for a meal in Northern Italy. The invitation in 2019 took the form of a pencil with the dinner place address on it, and a sharpener. Dinner invitees, Connor's associates, mentors or fellow artists, were requested to use the sharpener to activate the pencil and then RSVP to the event. The invitation also includes a hand-written envelope.
