The New Zealand Society of Sculptors, Painters and Associates Incorporated (NZSSPA) presented a series of public artist talks between 1983 and 1986. These talks were recorded and distributed by the Department of Education at the time.
This archive comprises material relating to 35 artist talks delivered by New Zealand artists, each providing an approximately 45-minute presentation on their work to an audience. The material includes audio cassette tapes and corresponding slides. Cassette tapes and slides have been digitised, and transcriptions of the artist talks completed.
