About the Patrons
The Patrons group is for dedicated art lovers who are passionate about supporting art in Aotearoa. They have been helping grow the Gallery’s holdings since 1987 and have added more than 300 works to our permanent collection.
As some of the Gallery’s longest standing and most generous supporters, this group helps us make inspiring artworks available to Tāmaki Makaurau residents and visitors.
Patrons programme
As part of their generous support, Patrons enjoy a close relationship with the Gallery’s curatorial and executive team. The Patrons programme includes:

Access to private tours of exhibitions, as well as access to private collections and artists talks

Access to the annual buying meeting with the curatorial team where works are acquired for the Gallery’s permanent collection
