A world undone displays a sample of recent acquisitions of the Chartwell Trust, whose important collection of contemporary New Zealand and international art has been under the guardianship of Auckland Art Gallery since 1997.

With sculpture, painting, prints, installation and video works from 26 artists, A world undone demonstrates the wide range of art practices today and invites its audience to engage its imagination.

Includes works by Hany Armanious, John Baldessari, Andrew Barber, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Martin Creed, Daniel Crooks, Richard Frater, Gavin Hipkins, Nicholas Mangan, Dane Mitchell, Robert Rauschenberg, Peter Robinson, Jessica Stockholder, Richard Tuttle, Rohan Wealleans and others.
