event Details

ON DISPLAY: Being Human is produced by AUT event management students in collaboration with Auckland Art Gallery and Touch Compass.

ON DISPLAY: Being Human is a sculpture to challenge notions of beauty, while honouring diversity and inclusion.

Viewers are encouraged to walk or travel through this human exhibit, and to immerse themselves in this art installation, appreciate diversity and consider how we can all be more inclusive.

A collaborative human artwork, ON DISPLAY was originally created by Heidi Latsky Dance NY, and is presented by Touch Compass in collaboration with AUT Event Production. This free and fully accessible event celebrates the diversity of humanity in society today. Through show-stopping installation, the hope is to challenge the viewer and start conversations. Join us in celebrating all our unique differences at ON DISPLAY: Being Human.

Then, following the performance, join AUT Event Production students from 4–6pm at AUT's Vesbar for a carousing pub quiz to challenge the boundaries of accessibility and inclusivity. Enjoy happy hour prices and compete in a challenge featuring eight rounds of compelling questions on topical issues from the visual to the physical, invisible and auditory.

Everybody: Let’s Get Quizzical aims to engage students and the wider community by joining together, having a laugh and considering how our world can be a bit more inclusive. Support AUT's students, explore the edges of diversity and contribute to the vibrant Auckland event community.

All proceeds will go to Touch Compass.
