In a poor neighbourhood in Cuba, 1958, a former clown Iluminada Pacheco, wins a new house in a local sweepstakes. Overwhelmed by this stroke of luck, Iluminada gives away most of her belongings but months later her life takes a less fortunate turn.
This is a film adaptation of Hector Quintero's play of the same name.
Directed by Juan Carlos Cremata and Iraida Malberti, Cuba 2009. Running time 104mins. Rated M.
